About us
James is a qualified Chartered Surveyor with 20 years experience. James has previously worked for a number of leading advisory firms including CBRE and Knight Frank as well as JP Morgan Bank and latterly at Pepper Group.
Throughout his career he has covered all asset classes in the UK and Europe and across the capital structure. James was previously Head of Real Estate at the Pepper Group where he led on the asset management and de-leveraging of a £500m non-performing loan book on behalf of AB CarVal and Deutsche Bank.
James set up ARE Capital Advisors to focus on Real Estate funding , financing and Investments across the capital structure in October 2018 and has executed a wide range of deals across the UK and Europe with a variety of developers, investors and sponsors.
James holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) degree in Real Estate Management and Valuation from The University of the West of England and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Outside ARE Capital Advisors, James is married to Lucy and loves being the father to two very energetic children and when the time permits, enjoys playing football, cricket and skiing as well as following the horseracing.
